Renewal of International Driving Permit
For renewal of International Driving Permit (IDP), Indian citizens can register with the High Commission of India, Malta. The Consular Service which can be availed by Indian nationals saves them from visiting India for renewal of the International Driving Permit. It may be noted that this service is only for the renewal of the IDP.

Passport Original with photocopy

One Passport Size photograph (2 inches X2 inches)

Original IDP (expired) with photocopy

Valid Domestic Driving License with copy

Original Malta ID/Residence Permit with photocopy
Step 1
Applicants are requested to first submit copies of the above-mentioned documents to the High Commission.
Step 2
Once the copies of documents have been received and checked, applicant is required to transfer the fees to the High Commission of India’s bank account. Fee: Euros 17.00 to be transferable to Main Account plus Euros 2.00 to ICWF Account. Once the fees have been transferred, High Commission will issue a receipt to the applicant.
Step 3
The individual will then apply online (www.parivahan.gov.in) for fresh IDP and will upload the requisite documents including the receipt issued by the High Commission and pay the requisite fee on the website.
On receipt of application through the portal, the licensing authority, on verification of the documents, shall issue the IDP and shall courier it directly to the address of the applicant in Malta.
